STEM education is a teaching and learning approach, which emphasizes the connections among–or the integration of– knowledge and skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to address problems facing our communities as well as larger global issues that require a skilled workforce and knowledgeable citizens who can apply these skills and knowledge to develop solutions.
The SEAMEO Regional Centre for STEM Education (SEAMEO STEM-ED) is organizing a 3- day, online workshop titled “Japanese Approach to STEM Education under the COVID-19 Pandemic” from 8-10 March 2022 led by Prof. Tairo Nomura, Director of the STEM Education Research Center at the University of Saitama, Japan. The workshop aims to establish a comprehensive framework for STEM education in the post-COVID-19 era.
